LLUMINATED VEHICLE SAFETY SIGNAGE TO PROVIDE INCREASED ROADSIDE PROTECTION FOR DELIVERY PROFESSIONALS
A newly-launched business is helping to create a safer working environment for delivery professionals operating at the roadside. Inspace Mediaâs illuminated chevron and safety signage solutions uses unique and revolutionary technology that dramatically improves vehicle visibility, so home delivery and road transport businesses can mitigate fleet risk and overcome duty of care concerns regarding their delivery teams.
âWith growing volumes of traffic, especially in urban areas, there is an increasing threat posed to logistics personnel making deliveries to homes and businesses,â explains Alex Knowden, Director of Sales and Business Development at Inspace Media. âOur illuminated vehicle technology provides dramatically increased visibility, with bespoke signage that alerts other road-users to a delivery, so they can safely reduce speed as well as pay added care and attention.â
The chevron and safety signage solutions maintain the highest levels of performance in lowlight, night-time and poor weather conditions â such as rain and fog â without the same limitations experienced by traditional reflective technology. As such, Inspace Media can enable organisations within the home delivery and road transport sectors to gain greater levels of vehicle and staff protection.
Developed over the past two years and independently tested in the most rigorous conditions, the illuminated technology uses patented components and is less than 1mm in thickness. This makes the chevron and safety signage suitable for all types of fleets because it can be shaped and moulded to fit anywhere on the rear or side of a vehicle. The technology also possesses IP69 waterproof rating and a minimum illumination life of 20,000 hours before any light depreciation.
âWe have brought together a team of printing, technology and automotive specialists, with more than 30 years of experience working within the health and safety, fleet management and transport sectors, to create this industry-first vehicle safety proposition. We are already in discussions with a number of automotive manufacturers, as well as leading vehicle leasing and fleet management businesses, because they recognise the need to protect logistics personnel working on the UKâs road network,â adds Knowden.
