Award Winning Civil Engineering Specialist Completes Projects for Sustainable Transport Business.
Teesside based civil engineering company, Lynas Engineers, has completed a series of projects in quick succession for a leading sustainable transport planner resulting in the two companies forming a strategic partnership.
The young engineering company – which was formed only two years ago – recently successfully completed ten projects for TPS Transport Consultants. This included delivering vehicle tracking and junction design services for the Wakefield business in only a matter of only nine weeks. The projects awarded varied in size, value, requirements and time frames ranging from one hour up to 20 hours.
Having invested in state-of-the-art software used to test out designs in a real world simulation – which seen the young company receive a Digital Technology award earlier this year at the North East Business Awards – this played a key role in delivering the contracts for TPS.
Speaking about the series of project wins with TPS, Rob Lynas, Managing Director at Lynas Engineers said: “We’ve been working closely with TPS over the past several months and during that time our business relationship has grown significantly and we have now formed a strategic partnership that will be mutually beneficial for both businesses.
“The company will provide us with planning assistance and safety audits as and when required, and in turn, we will provide TPS with expertise in our field. Collaborative working is key to help young companies like ours grow and, as such, we believe this partnership will play a pivotal role in our future plans.”
Lynas Engineers believes it is its innovative use of technology that has been pivotal in securing a high volume of contracts of this nature. The company used AutoTrack, an AutoCAD add-on software, for vehicle tracking on behalf of TPS to ensure that planned roads are the correct width for all vehicles to be able to easily maneuver around the area.
As well as vehicle tracking for TPS, Lynas Engineers recently completed other project work such as junction design and positioning, visibility splays and white lining, where appropriate, for certain junctions. Using the software, Lynas Engineers was able to provide the transport specialists with feedback and a creative solution for the proposed work.
Established in 2000, the Wakefield based transport planners TPS Transport Consultants has been providing sustainable transport and development solutions throughout the UK. Changing its name from Travel Plan Services Ltd to TPS Transport Consultants Ltd in 2016 to better represent its services, the company has had success with projects due to its vast knowledge and experience in the industry.
Lynas Engineers, based in the Wilton Centre in Redcar, specialise in transport, highway and drainage engineering design with a team possessing vast experience and knowledge in those disciplines. Successfully using design prowess and innovative technology to provide clients with engineering excellence since establishment in 2016 has led to the business securing a prestigious award as well as many local projects. The civil engineering company has worked on many high profile projects including work on the Cargo Fleet roundabout for Middlesbrough Council.
